DALTON – Richard H ELLIOTT, 84, of Dalton, OH, passed away Friday, January 18, 2013 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton. He was born June 7, 1928 in Cleveland, the son of Henry A and Grace Pettis Hurshman. He was a salesman who enjoyed furniture refinishing. Surviving are his step-children, James Grey, Lona Grey, and Laura DeBlock; step-granddaughters, Makenna, Anika, Cassandra, Maddeline and Samantha; step-grandson, Evan and step-great-grandsons, Merrick and Daxton; a sister Joan Springhorn and many loving nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Helen Persily, a step-daughter Kitti Grey, half siblings Rollo Elliott, Maxine Elliott Becker and 5 other half siblings. There will be no calling hours or services. McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Brookdale and Shady Lawn Nursing Home.
