WOOSTER “ Michell Jean Thompson, 52, of Wooster passed away quietly and peacefully on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Wayne County Care Center, Wooster with her family by her side. She was born in Wooster on May 12, 1960, the daughter of Cleotha and Beverly Thompson. She was a graduate of Waynedale High School, Apple Creek on June 19, 1979. She graduated from the Wayne Co. Career School in the child care program and was employed at the Smithville Western Care Center, the Wooster Brush Company, and when she became ill, she was employed at the Learn In Play where she loved children and Annie Ann Pretzel in Wal Mart Shopping Center. She enjoyed attending Fashion Fair fashion shows, playing golf and visits with family and friends. Her assuring and quiet smile will certainly be missed. She attended the First Baptist Church in Wadsworth and the Second Baptist Church in Wooster. She is survived by her father, Cleotha Thompson, brother, Ralph Thompson and nieces Carissa (Ryan) Potter and their children Brenna and Brendon of Cuyahoga Falls, Uncles, Rev. Rufus (Lydia) Thompson of Wooster, Rev. Leroy (Laura) Thompson of Tallahassee, Walter Thompson of Detroit; Aunts Katie Stewart of Detroit, Daisy Johnson of Tallahassee, Catherine Armstrong of Orlando, Evelyn Thompson of Flint, Michigan and Doris Turner and family of Canton, Ohio. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Special friends Jackie Tarpley and Ann Robinson and many friends that she loved and enjoyed. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Thompson, brother, Curtis Thompson and good friend, Mike Byrd. Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 12:00 noon service on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Second Baptist Church, 245 S. Grant St., Wooster with the Rev ™s Rickey Brown, Jr. and Rufus Thompson officiating Private family burial will be held.
