APPLE CREEK – Mary Helen LONG, 92, of Apple Creek, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 in Aultman Orrville Hospital. She was born July 10, 1920 in Cambridge, the daughter of Homer and Viola Boyd Morris. She had owned and operated the former restaurant and gas station in Fredericksburg. Surviving are her children, Pauline (Arthur) Posey, John (Darlene) Long and Homer Long all of Wooster; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Harry Morris of Dingess, WV, Clarence Morris of Sarasota, FL and Velma Jones of Cambridge. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ohma I Long in 1989 whom she married October 9, 1937. Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Salesville M. E. Church Cemetery near Cambridge. McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family. Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. The family would like to thank the staff of Shady Lawn Nursing Home, Aultman Dunlap Hospital, Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne Co., and the Gilchrist Day Care of Doylestown.
