WOOSTER – Nellie Shamp DILWORTH, 95, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Wooster Community Hospital. She was born May 29, 1917 in Wayne Co., the daughter of A. Lee and Lena Miller Benepe. She was a homemaker and a member of the Smithville United Methodist Church. Nellie loved to cook. Surviving are her children, Nancy Shamp Airulla (Philip), Jean Shamp Gosney and a step-daughter, Patricia Dilworth Ewing (Lane), grandchildren, Lynn Airulla (Davina), Douglas Airulla, Laine Gosney, Adria Gosney, Jesse Ewing (Chelsa); great-grandchildren, Nathanael Airulla, Hannah Airulla, Tamara Airulla, Haylee Guffey; a sister, Margaret Benepe Huber. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Ralph A. Shamp, her second husband Alvin H Dilworth and a grandson, Matthew Ewing. Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. Private family burial will be held at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne Co., 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
