WOOSTER “ Roy L. Williams, Sr., 76, of Wooster passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at Oakmont Nursing Home in Greenville, South Carolina. He was born June 16, 1936 in Carrollton, Ohio, the son of Leroy and Pearl Davis Williams. He married Thelma M.Utt on July 11, 1967. She went home to be with Jesus on November 4, 2011. He had served his country in the U.S. Army and was in the Korean War. He retired from Performance Pontiac in Wooster. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Church of God. Surviving are his children, Michael Williams of Wadsworth, Roy (Jen) Williams of Warsaw, OH, Matthew (Kaci) Williams of Lyman, SC, Michael (Darlene) Tomes of Rineyville, KY, Dixie Etzwiler of Wooster and Robert Tomes of Wooster; 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Roy was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a granddaughter Michelle Caine. Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m, Services will be held Friday, March 8,,2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Geisinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
