WOOSTER – Virginia Mays, 84, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Smithville Western Care Center. She was born April 22, 1928 in Wooster, the daughter of Herman and Sadie Bigler Mays. She retired from the State Fire Marshalls Office in Columbus after many years of employment. Virginia enjoyed painting and crafts and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, the Ohio State Buckeyes and she loved to cook. Surviving are a daughter, Diane (Daniel) Cramer of Bellevue; grandchildren Eric Cramer and Erin Carver; great-grandchildren Mitchell Cramer and Taylor Carver; brothers, Richard Mays of Arkansas and Herman Mays Jr. of Wooster. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter. Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 with Rev. Daniel DeHass officiating. Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
