WOOSTER – Paul David Lowe’s life on earth ended peacefully on March 19 at his home surroundedby his family.
He was born December 20, 1933 in Wayne County Ohio. His parents were Leo andMargaret Lowe. He is survived by his wife Marceal (Taylor) Lowe and his sisters, CarolMetcalf and Mary Beth Miller. He is also survived by his children, Jeff Lowe of Florida,Jody Merrix of Arizona, Jodi Drouhard of Wooster, Jeff (Christine) Elliott of Texas,Kathy (Jeff) Wilson of Holmesville and Kerry (Gary) Potts of Washington, tengrandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He graduated in the first graduating class at Northwestern High School in 1952. Heattended Ohio State University and then chose to pursue a career in construction. Heworked for NuWay Housing and Cy Starr. At the age of29 he started his own business.P.D. Lowe Construction built and remodeled many homes and businesses in the area. Asa building contractor for 33 years he was known for his honesty and integrity as well asquality construction.
He was a collector of antique tools, wild turkey and Winchester items. He enjoyedturkey hunting, attending auctions and the Wayne County Fair. He was a member ofUnited Church of Christ, New Pittsburg Sportsmen’s Club, Elks Lodge, and The NationalWild Turkey Federation.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 23 at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek, 216 EastLarwill Street, Wooster. Friends may call one hour prior to the 11 :00 o’clock service. Aprivate family burial will be held at New Pittsburg Cemetery immediately following theservice,
His parents, brothers-in-law Gale Metcalf and Chuck Miller, sister-in-law Jan Redick andhis granddaughter Whitney Lowe preceded him in death.
