WOOSTER – Madaline Mae Peg HENDERSHOT, 87, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at West View Healthy Living. She was born February 13, 1926 in Gilmer County, WV, daughter of Samuel and Freda Langford Hall. She married Charles J. Hendershot on August 2, 1944. He passed away on August 16, 2001. She retired in 1983 as a librarian with the Wooster City Schools after 9 years and had previously been the librarian at St. Mary School for 11 years. She was a member of the Burbank Road Church of Christ, the Blue Star Mothers and the UAW Local 1239 Auxiliary. Peg enjoyed gardening, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter, Connie Chio of Wooster and a son James (Pat) Hendershot of Medina; 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ray S Hall of Wyoming, Delaware and sisters, Mazie (Wayne) Glover, Anita Simpson and Grace (Harry) Moore all of West Virginia. In addition to her husband, Peg was preceded in death by her parents, a great-grandchild, brothers James and Wilbur Hall, a sister Gladys Yost. Private family services will be held. McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St. Canfield, OH 44406.
