WOOSTER – Wesley William SNODDY, 81, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Wooster Community Hospital. He was born March 22, 1931 in Smithville, the son of William and Leona Lower Snoddy. He married his high school sweetheart, Doris Hartman, on June 30, 1950. She survives. Wesley was a 1949 graduate of Wooster High School and retired from the trucking industry in 1986. In his retirement, he enjoyed all Wooster General Sports and was inducted into the Wooster High School Sports Hall of Fame in 1991. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and card player and enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Vicki (Mike) Moore of Burbank, Milly Barnett and Deb (Steve Rowland) Underwood both of Wooster and Sue (Charles) Baker of Warren; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, 2 great-grandchildren and a brother, Larry Snoddy. Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 2-4:00 p.m. Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the a charity of the donor’s choice.
