Lavina M. Case, 82, of Wooster, OH, died March 24, 2013 at Wooster Community Hospital. She was born February 3, 1931 in Shreve, OH, daughter of Lloyd and Harriet Kirshner Plant. Lavina was as a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She had also been a bookkeeper for R.E. Bower Trucking and had worked at Citzens and Bank One banks for several years. She was a member of Plain Lutheran Church where she was a communion steward for over 40 years. She also attended Moreland United Methodist Church. She had been a 4-H advisor and a member of the Florettes Garden Club, Ladies Aid and Friendly Neighborhood Sewing Club. Surviving are husband, John Case of Wooster whom she married Aug. 7, 1994, son, Kenneth(Elizabeth) Bower of Wooster, daughters, Connie(Alan) Curren, Cynthia(Stanley) Hoover and Anita(Ted) Hershey all of Wooster, step-sons, Randall(Jackie) Case of Leesburg, FL and Gerald(Sandy) Case of Wooster, step-daughter, Sandra Treece of Wooster, sisters, Margaret Orewiler of Cincinnati, and Grace Watson of Bradford, PA, brothers, Wesley Plant, Donald Plant both of Shreve, and Roy Plant of Fredericksburg, 13 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 step-great grandchildren. Lavina was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert (R.E.) Bower on March 30, 1990 whom she married Feb. 7, 1948, brothers, Ed, Fred, Lloyd Jr.and Guy Plant,and a sister, Vera Hicks. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home with Rev Robert Moskowitz officiating. Interment will follow in the Plain Cemetery. Friends will be received at the at the funeral home from 6-8PM on Wednesday, March 27, 2013.
