WOOSTER – Lu McBride, 80 of Wooster passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Wooster Community Hospital. She was born October 15, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of John and Ella Mae Rall Blythe. She married George McBride on January 6, 1955. He survives. She had worked as a clerk for Potomic Industrial Trucks for 16 years retiring in 1993. Lu was a member of Caleb’s Kin group at the West Hill Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and loved going to movies. Surviving in addition to her husband, are her children, John William (Paula) McBride of Amston, Ct., Jill (Robert) Thompson of Prince Frederick, MD and Stacey (Larry) Toner of Charlotte, NC;, grandchildren, Brandon Thompson, Megan Beals, Kaitlan Toner, Amy Toner and Andrew McBride; great-grandson, Ayden Thompson and a sister, Florence Powley of Endicott, NY. Ella was preceded in death by her parents. Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 2-4:00 p.m. Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating.   Contributions may be made to the Caleb’s Kin, c/o West Hill Baptist Church, 2241 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
