WOOSTER – William W BUCHWALTER, 78, of Wooster, passed away April 12, 2013 at Wooster Community Hospital after a long battle with illness. He was born May 14, 1934 in East Union Twp., Wayne Co the, son of Ellis and Clara Hershberger Buchwalter. He married Betty Boreman on February 11, 1955. She survives. He was the owner of Buchwalter Greenhouse since 1976 and previously worked at Weather Seal in Orrville and did masonry and construction work for his uncle. He was an active member of the Wayne Presbyterian Church and was an Elder and youth leader. He was a high school basketball referee for the Wayne County Referee Association and had played basketball and softball in different independent leagues. Bill enjoyed water skiing, fishing and boating, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a good joke. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Cindy (Tom) Poulson of Smithville and a son Bob (Carol) Buchwalter of Wooster; grandchildren, Melanie Poulson of Columbus, Andrew Poulson of Wooster, Tiffany (Shannon) Sustar of Wooster and Bethany Buchwalter of Wooster; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Bryden Sustar; a brother, Dale (Betty) Buchwalter of Wooster, a sister-in-law, Norma Buchwalter of Orrville. William was preceded in death by his parents, a great-granddaughter, Kaylee Sustar and a brother, Don Buchwalter. Friends will be received at the Wayne Presbyterian Church, 7152 Burbank Rd., Wooster on Monday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the Church on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bob Meyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Youth Fund, c/o Wayne Presbyterian Church, 7152 Burbank Rd., Wooster, OH 44691
