Flo K. Gault, 86, of Wooster, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Her faith, courage, and grace were an inspiration to all who knew her.   Flo was born in Canal Fulton, Ohio on February 11, 1927, to Charles Randall Kurtz and Flocia Mary Filliez Kurtz, and was the eldest of their three children. She was a 1948 graduate of the College of Wooster, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. While attending the College of Wooster, Flo met her future husband, Stanley C. Gault. She became a secondary school English teacher prior to having children and embarking on a fulfilling journey in support of her husband ™s career. Together they lived in Brecksville, OH, Louisville, KY, Wheaton, IL, and New Canaan, CT, before moving to Wooster in 1979. A lifelong learner, Flo returned to the College of Wooster in 1987 to complete an Independent Study project which had been an optional graduation requirement in 1948. Her paper was entitled: œThe Wesleyan Influence on Two 19th Century Authors and required an oral defense. Until her final days, Flo continued to research three of her favorite authors: John Wesley, William Wordsworth, and George Eliot. She was an avid student of the Bible, and a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church. Flo served as a trustee for the Methodist Theological School in Ohio and the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church, and was later named a trustee emerita of both organizations. She was a board member for the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Wayne and Holmes Counties, the Village Network Corporation, and the Wayne Center for the Arts. She belonged to the Friends of Boys Village, The Monday Club, the Women ™s Advisory Board for the College the Wooster, and was a faithful member of the Wooster United Methodist Church. Flo cherished her membership in the P.E.O. Sisterhood, most recently a member of Chapter DF in Wooster. She was celebrating 50 years as a P.E.O. after initiation into Chapter E in Louisville, KY in 1963.   Together with her husband, Flo initiated, sponsored and participated in many projects and programs that have benefitted organizations and individuals in the Wooster community and beyond. She was a full partner in the plans and decisions involving these numerous undertakings. In addition to her parents, Flo was preceded in death by her brother, James T. Kurtz, and sister, Mary L. Fahrney. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Stanley C. Gault; son, Stephen C. Gault of Louisville, KY; son, Christopher C. Gault (Cynthia) of San Jose, Costa Rica; daughter, Jennifer G. Marsh (Charles) of Louisville KY; grandchildren, Andrew C. Gault, Lacey A. Gault, Joseph S. Gault, Daniel M. Gault, Elizabeth B. Marsh, and Ellen G. Marsh; along with nine nephews and one niece.   The family extends their deep gratitude to the dedicated and compassionate staff from Wooster Community Hospital Home Health Services who provided excellent nursing care to Flo in her home during recent months, and to the health care professionals at Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County for the assistance they provided.   Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E.
