SCOTTSBORO, ALABAMA – Emilie Virginia Bogner, 76, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2013 at her home in Scottsboro. She was born July 12, 1936, the sixth of seven daughters to Earl E. and Esther Showalter Miller. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, sister and friend. In addition to being a wonderful military wife and mother, she worked as a secretary for several different businesses. She was a member of Southgate Baptist Church in Scottsboro. Emilie loved gardening, sewing, crocheting, singing in the church choir, traveling and fishing in Canada. Emilie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harry W. Bogner; daughter, Connie (Larry) Madrid of Bartow, FL; son Harry S. (Vangie) Bogner of Heath, TX; grandsons, Andrew (Chelsea) Madrid of Charleston, SC; Philip W. Madrid of Paris, France and Daniel J. Madrid of Auburn, AL; and sisters Donna Rehm and June (James) Nettleton both of Smithville. Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 10-11:30 a.m. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 Noon at the Wooster Cemetery.
