WOOSTER – Mary L MARTIN, 75, of Wooster, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 at her home. She was born July 4, 1937 in Holmes County, the daughter of Roy R and Anna O’Leary Barker. She married Gary L. Martin on June 22, 1956. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2012. She was a homemaker, had retired from Rubbermaid and was a member of the Millbrook Pentecostal Church. Mary enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading and writing. Surviving are her children ; Sheryl Ball and Gary L Martin Jr both of Wooster and Paul (Gertrude) Martin of Canton; 8 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, 6 great-grandchildren and a sister, Alice Watkins of Strawberry, AK. In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Zachary in 1990 and brothers: Roy Barker, Jr., Ray Barker, John Barker and sisters Dorothy Edinger, Sue Barnes and an infant sisters Iva Barker and Florence Barker. Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 1:00 pm service at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday, May 3, 2013 with the Rev. Tom McFadden officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
