WOOSTER – Alice I. Bahmer, 66, went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2013 at the Wooster Community Hospital. She was born August 9, 1946 in Wooster, the daughter of Harry and Lois (Snyder) Budd. She married Stanley L. Bahmer on March 24, 1984 at the First Church of God, Akron Road, Wooster. She was a 1964 graduate of Triway High School. She had worked for a year at Freedlander ™s Department Store and nearly 39 years at the Wayne Co. National Bank, retiring after the consolidation with National City. Alice was a 4-H member and later became an advisor with the Plain Township Wonder Workers and Plain Township Explorers. She volunteered in the Grange Dining Hall and the Chicken Barbecue at the Wayne Co. Fair. She also became an assistant in the horticulture department. She received a Service Award in 2012 from the Wayne Co. Fair Board for long time service and activities. Alice was a lifetime member of the First Church of God and was active on the council, women ™s circle, candy making, prayer chain and special dinners. Alice enjoyed landscaping, card club, the county fair, friends and neighbors, former classmates and former WCNB employees, church activities and relatives. Surviving in addition to her husband, Stanley, is a son, Matthew, his wife, Jennifer and grandson, Hayden Matthew; two brothers, Allen Budd of New Baltimore, Michigan and Blaine and Melody Budd of Wooster. Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 6-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev ™s Arnie Kaufman and Ken Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne Co., 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
