Irene Rose, 90 of Wooster died Saturday June 1, 2013 at her home. She was born June 1, 1923 in Shreve the daughter of Charles and Frances Clinage Porter. On February 14, 1941 she married Paul Rose who preceded her in death on July 29, 1962. Irene worked as a waitress for Leroy ™s for over 30 years and for Rubbermaid in the repair department for 20 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed picture and word puzzles, the Cleveland Indians, and cooking for her family. Surviving are her 4 children: Robert P. (Nancy J.) Rose of Wooster, Charlene Saurers, of Wooster, Renee (Gene) Hauter, of Wooster and Marsha Rose of Florida. 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. 3 brothers: Ronald (Pat) Porter of Orlando Florida, Robert (Grace) Porter of New Philadelphia, and Charles (Beverly) Porter of Wooster. A very special sister in law: Phyllis Porter of Wooster and her beloved dog; Tinkerbell. Irene was preceded in death by her parents. Her step mother; Thelma Porter. Siblings: Mabel Warnes, Jean Drumm, Betty Rosenbaum, Mary Mullens, and Ward Porter. A son in law; Dennis Saurers and a step brother; Curt Porter. A mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday June 5, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church 527 Beall Ave. Wooster, Ohio 44691 with Rev.Stephen Moran officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary cemetery. The family will receive friends at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster, Ohio 44691 Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M.
