GALVESTON, TEXAS Rose Angeline Tersigne Byers, 83, formerly of Wooster was born May 20, 1930 and passed away June 8, 2013.
Rose is survived by her loving husband, Robert Byers, adoring son Michael Tersigne, daughter-in-law, Sonia Tersigne, and their grandchild Chris O Docharty and great-grandchildren Dylan and John O Docharty, daughter, Louise Manfredi; sister Jean Harper and sister-in-law, Helen Iannarelli and numerous nieces and nephews and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Rocco Tersigne, her sisters, Stella Fry, Mary Zarlengo and Helen Reed, brothers Joseph Iannarelli and Ralph Tersigne.
Rose was born in Wooster, Ohio and at age 19 began working at Rubbermaid where she worked for the next 30 years. When she retired, she met the love of her life, Robert Byers and they were married and moved to Houston, Texas in 1977. Mr. Byers retired in 2000 and they moved to Galveston Island, Texas.
Rose courageously fought a brave battle against Alzheimers with her beloved son always at her side. She loved her homes and dogs, yard work, sitting in the sun and her life on the island but more than anything she loved her husband and son.
A Rosary will be held Friday, June 14, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster followed by a visitation from 6-8:00 p.m.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary Cemetery on Madison Hill in Wooster.
