WOOSTER – Glen CASSIDY, 73, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Sycamore Run Nursing Home in Millersburg.
He was born April 18, 1940 in Wayne, WV the son of William Brady and Alice Grace Collins Cassady. He married Norma Jean Flickinger on July 12, 2003. She survives. He had made his home in Wayne Co., Ohio for 55 years.
He retired from the O.A.R.D.C. Horticulture Dept. in 2003. He was a member of the Millersburg Christian Church. He had farmed in his early years in Loudonville, Ohio and was known during his high school years for being an excellent basketball player. Glen loved to fish, hunt mushrooms, attend grandchildren’s sporting events and birthdays.
He was a great father and grandfather and was loved by all. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. Dad, we will miss you terribly, most of all your humor. Till we laugh again! Love your kids.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters, Pam (Darrel Smith) Cassidy and Lori Ann (Wayne) Kasserman, Jr. both of Wooster, sons, Mark of Cabot Arkansas and Gary (Jodi) of Wooster; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; a brother Brady Jr. (Darlene) Cassidy of Wooster, his first wife Anita (Feltner) Cassidy of Shreve and numerous nieces and nephews.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Lisa Ann (twin of Lori Ann), infant sons, James Edward and John Glenn, an infant granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn, a sister, Elizabeth, a brother William Eugene.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 12:00 Noon service on Monday, June 17, 2013 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with the Rev. Jerry Craycraft officiating.
