WOOSTER – Dick A. PARKER, 81, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at his home.
He was born February 4, 1932 in Wooster, the son of Ralph and Irene Jolliff Parker. He married Bonnie E. Derr on October 22, 1951. She survives.
He was a 1950 graduate of Wooster High School and along with his wife were the former owners and operator of North End Garage for 31 years and in his retirement he worked part-time for McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home. Dick was a member of Central Christian Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters, Cynthia Parker of Columbus, and Marcia and Donald Edwards of Wooster and Nancy and Robert White of McKinney, Texas, grandchildren, Shannon Merriman, Geoff Haught, Kevin Haught, Brian Edwards, Adam Edwards, Grant Edwards and Zachary White; a great-grandchild, Jordan Merriman.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Mary Fravel and Betty Messmore.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 6-8:00 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Kevin Phipps officiating.
