Together Again
WOOSTER – Virginia Lee BURKHART, 86, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Wooster Community Hospital..
She was born March 7, 1927 in Zanesville, the daughter of Lee V and Anna Marie Edgar Hartman. She married Martin Luther Burkhart on November 14, 1942 in Wellsburg, West Virginia. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2010.
She retired from Felsted and had previously worked for International Paper Co. and Rubbermaid. She was a member of the Moreland United Methodist Church. Virginia enjoyed sewing, puzzles and activitieswith her friends at Smithville Western Care Center.
Surviving are her children, Jackie (Keith) Woodruff of Dalton Alton (Tammy) Burkhart and Danial (Nancy) Burkhart both of Wooster; grandchildren, Lori (Dan) Fry, Brad Woodruff, Lisa (Bobby) Prewitt, Michelle (Chuck) Beckler, Melissa (Eric) McKnight, Jackie (Rob) Hamilton, Alison Burkhart, Stephanie Sczpanski, Todd (Amy) Burkhart, Troy Burkhart, Samantha Burkhart, Niki (Mike) Hutchison, Mike (Nicole) Woodruff, Pamela Cook and Bryon Wohlers; 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Vivian E. Cunningham and an infant brother Gerald.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the memorial service at 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Moreland United Methodist Church, 138 E. Moreland Rd., Wooster with the Rev. Tom Fish officiating. Inurnment of ashes will be held at the convenience of the family.
