WOOSTER – Wade L. SPITLER, 69, of Wooster, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at his home.
He was born April 5, 1944 in Barberton, the son of Weldon and Juanita Coon Spitler. He married Connie Kay Cutlip on December 17, 1994. She survives.
He had worked in maintenance for 35 years at the Akron Brass Co. and at the Wilbert Co. for 5 years. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge, Ashland Eagles, Elks Lodge in Massillon a member of the Fredericksburg American Legion, a 32nd degree Mason of the Blue Lodge of Ashland and a member of Knights Templer Wooster Commandry #48.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Christina Ann (Andy) Mathis of Wooster and John (Carol) Spitler of Sandusky, grandchildren, Erik and Bryce Mathis and Alicia Spitler, a brother, Dennis (Rosetta) Spitler of Apple Creek, an uncle Raymond Pinnick and an aunt, Bessie George both of Barberton, his father and mother-in-law, Oliver and Lucinda Cutlip of Canton, several sisters and brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wade was preceded in death by his parents and two step-children Charles Gordon Evans and Theola Greene Evans.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Monday, August 19, 2013 from 5-8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the time of the service. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 p.m.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Hospice Chaplain Deborah Horst officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home

Visitation
Monday, August 19, 2013 from 5-8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the time of the service on Tuesday.   A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
