WOOSTER “ Bertha A. White-Honkomp, 54, of Wooster passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born April 26, 1959 in Humbolt, Tennessee, the daughter of Willie Jr. and Peggy Jo Hammon White.   She married Gerhard Honkomp on April 2, 1994.   He survives.
She attended Carver High School in Brownsville, Tennessee and Orrville High School.   Bertha had worked on the assembly line at Dutch Country.   She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crafts, playing cards, slot machines, music, decorating and spending time with family and friends, cooking and gardening.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Charles Lee Dyson, II, Deon DaWayne Dyson and Ian White all of Wooster and Janie Nadoya (Ronald) Dyson-Taylor of Akron;   guardian of Johnathan and Martavius Dyson of Wooster; 15 grandchildren and siblings Martha Taylor-Yancy and Willard (Bernice) White of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Johnnie (Linda) White of Akron, J.W. (Geraldine) White and T.J. White both of Brownsville, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Charles Lee White.
Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the 1:00 p.m. service on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Parkview Christian Church, 1912 Burbank Rd., Wooster with Pastor Joe Rubino officiating.   Burial will be in the Wooster Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, Ohio is assisting the family.
Contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
