AKRON – James Joseph Freeman, 80, of Akron, went home to Jesus Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Cleveland Clinic.He was born December 28, 1932 in Wooster the son of Karl D and Melva Pailliotet Freeman.
He   was a Navy veteran having served in Korea and Japan.   Jim was a commercial real estate appraiser, a member of the VFW, American Legion and St. Victor Catholic Church.
Surviving are wife of 56 years, Marjorie (Bauer) Freeman; a son, Attorney  Greg Freeman and   brothers, Kenneth and John Freeman.
James was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Maryann Ebel.
Friends will be received on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster  followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.  with the Rev. Stephen Moran officiating.   Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
