WOOSTER “ Marilyn J. Carman, 89, of Wooster passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at West View Healthy Living.
She was born June 1, 1924 in Akron the daughter of Robert James and Helen Belle Stein Hackett.     She married Robert E. Kendall, Sr. in 1945, he preceded in death in 1964; she married Byron Fairbanks in 1966, he preceded in death 1967; she married Robert Carman in 1970, he preceded in death in 1992.
Marilyn was a graduate of West High School in Akron and attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.   She was a homemaker and had sold real estate.   Marilyn was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, volunteered for Wooster Community Hospital, the Red Cross, and the Phoenix Art Museum.   She was also involved in symphonies in both Phoenix and Wooster.   She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority at Miami University.
She is survived by her children:   Robert E. Jr. (Karen) Kendall of Wooster; William T. Kendall of Tucson, Arizona; Barbara L. (Dean) Browder of Sedona, Arizona; a stepdaughter:   Sally Carman (John) Bettes of Northville, MI and a stepson: Robert Carman of Atlanta. Grandchildren:   Deborah A. Kendall (Sean L.) Buck of Clayton, NC, Rachel (Jeff) LeFave of Tucson, AZ, Trevor Browder of Sedona, AZ, David ( Sharmila) Bettes of Lakewood, Ohio and great-grandchildren:   Madison K., Jacob L. and Joshua E. Buck, Menaz Bettes, Matthew Bettes and Daniel Bettes; and a sister Matilda œTerry  (Art) Gould of Tucson, AZ.
There will be no calling hours.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 127 W. North Street, Wooster with the Rev. Evelyn Manzella officiating.   Burial will be Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Akron.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
