WOOSTER – Ruth   METZ, 99, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in Wooster.
She was born January 12, 1914 in Lancaster, the daughter of the Rev. J.P. and Mary Ellen Bucher Mosher.   She married Milton M. Metz on February 19, 1939.   He preceded her in death in 1942.
She retired from Bauer Corporation after 44 years as a secretary and customer service manager.   She was an active member of the Salem Lutheran Church..
Surviving are son, David L Metz of Sacramento, CA, grandchildren Tim (Rebecca) Metz and Kristen (Darren) Ruthenbeck, a great grandson, Alex Ruthenbeck and a sister, Leah (Robert) Spenn of Watseka, IL.
In addition to her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son in 1941 and 4 half-brothers and 1 half-sister.
There will be no calling hours
Services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Salem Lutheran Church, 4873 Cleveland Rd., Wooster with the Rev. Sharon Brown and Rev. Dr. Terry A. Parker officiating. A private family burial will be held.
