SMITHVILLE – Ruth Blough, 90, of Smithville, Ohio died November 19, 2013 at Aultman Hospital in Canton after a short illness. She had resided at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville for the past 4 months.
She was born August 17, 1923 to John and Leatha Bates Arnold. She married Ray Blough October 4,1945 who died September 2, 2000.
Other family members include daughter Faye Love of Wadsworth, son Dennis (Patti) Blough of Orrville,and son David (Faye) Blough of Wooster. Eleven grandchildren, Jennifer Love of Wadsworth, Melissa (Matt) Miller of Akron, Melinda (Jim) Lemieux of Copley, Matt (Stacey) Love of Wadsworth, Nathan (Starr) Messerly and Greg (Lindsay) Blough of Wooster, Dan (Lori) Messerly of Dover, Chris (Tanya) Blough of Orrville, Brian (Jill) Blough of NYC, Andrew Blough of Cocoa Beach, FI, and Renae (Joe) Blough-St. John of Toledo and 12 great grandchildren. Her sisters, Pauline Ebert of Jeromesville, Nona Becker of Wooster, and Loy Robinson of Henderson, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, daughter Bonnie, son-n-Iaw Wilson (Pete) Love, brothers John Arnold Jr., Don Arnold, Leroy Arnold, her twin sister Naomi Echelberger, sisters Marie Blake, Gladys Fasig, and Odella Bischak.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She worked at the Wooster Rubber company during WWII. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and crocheting but most of all was a loving grandmother to all the kids.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 777 S. Summit St., Smithville with the Rev. Kristy Buyok officiating.   Burial will follow in the Smithville Cemetery.
