WOOSTER – Shirley J. HOTTE, 78, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at her home.
She was born May 6, 1935 in Massillon, the daughter of Earl E. and Margaret V. Burnett Marks. She married Arthur H. Hotte on February 1, 1958. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1984.
She had been a registered nurse at Wooster Community Hospital for 10 years and in Massena, New York for 12 Years. She was a devout member of St. Mary Catholic Church and an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Surviving are her children, Therese (Patrick) Reape of Keuka Park, NY, Roderick (Deb) Hotte of Wooster, Joann (Paulie) Miletto of Wooster, Lisa Bevacqua of Goose Creek, SC and Dorrie (David) Miller of Creston, also the blessing of 15 grandchildren, sister’s, Mary Schaad and Frances Swieger of Wooster and a brother William Marks of Fredericksburg and companion Richard Red Richardson of Wooster.
In addition to her husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Gabriel, a brother, Richard Marks and sisters Delores and Cecelia Marks.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with the Rev. Stephen Moran as the celebrant. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
