WOOSTER Deborah L. Mills, 57 of Wooster passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at West View Healthy Living after battling a lifelong illness.
She was born October 29, 1956 in Canton, the daughter of Charles and Nettie Petry Mills.
She was a licensed beautician and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah s Witnesses. Debbie had been a member of the Louisville Marching Band and had marched in the Hall of Fame Parade. She had a contagious smile and a great laugh. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sewing, crocheting, needlepoint and making crafts.
Debbie is survived by her mother, Nettie Mills of Smithville, daughters, Heather (Aaron Johns) Iona of Orrville, Laura (Kevin) Heath of Wooster and Stephanie (Pete) Marthey of Smithville; grandchildren, Dakota Ashburn, Braden Marthey, Easton Marthey, Bentley Heath; great-granddaughter Emma Ashburn;
Brothers Charles Chuck (Irene) Mills, Jr. of Hoschton, GA and Jeffery (Krista) Mills of Wooster; Nephews, Michael, Steven and Brandon Mills all of Georgia and a niece, Mercedes Sadie Mills of Wooster.
She was preceded in death by her father and a granddaughter, Savannah Jean Davis.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday, December 6 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be David Hill, Jr., an Elder from the local congregation. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
