WOOSTER – Lloyd R. Rusty BADGER, 58, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at his home.
He was born February 20, 1955 in Wooster, the son of Lloyd A and Elizabeth Wile Badger.
He had worked in the Maintenance Dept of Everything Surplus for the last 6 years. Rusty had previously worked at Miller Supply for 20 years as a pipe threader and had worked as a dairy farmer for many years. He was a member of the Fredericksburg Sons of the American Legion. Rusty enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening and NASCAR.
Surviving are his mother, Elizabeth Wile Badger of Wooster; his children, Billie (John) Corbin and Erin (Scott) Wirt all of Wooster and Bobbie (Ken) Kearney of Burbank; his loving companion of 22 years, Valarie Van Houten and her children Jennifer (Brian) Gendaszek, Justin (Lyndsey) Van Houten and Michelle (Jarod) Van Houten; grandchildren, Kedric, McGuire and Jaxon Corbin, Rylee and Bradlee Wirt, Landon Kearney, Madison and Payton Gendaszek and Ethan Van Houten; his siblings, Donna (Gary) Stine of Wooster, Larry (Karen) Badger of Fredericksburg and Deann (Steve) Gentry of Wooster; a sister-in-law, Pat Badger of Wooster and several nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his father and a brother Ronnie Badger.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 2-4:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Moran officiating. Interment will follow in the Moreland Cemetery.
