WEST SALEM – Richard A MORRELLE, 52, of West Salem, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at his home.
He was born September 6, 1961 in Wooster, the son of Richard Allen, Sr. and Martha Ceko Morrelle. He married Regina Funk on September 17, 1988. She survives.
He had worked as an LPN for the Society of Handicapped Citizens in Medina County. Richard attended the Red Haw United Methodist Church. He was very interested in Civil War sites and battlefields, especially Antietam and Gettysburg. He enjoyed baseball, football and basketball.
Surviving in addition to his wife are, step-sons, Timothy Payne of Wooster and Todd Payne of West Salem, step-grandchildren, Latashia, Tyler and Abby Payne; sister’s, Donna (Rick) Wallace of Wooster, Cheryl (James) Reed of Canton and Lisa (Derek) Bleichrodt of Akron and his faithful canine companion, Kahlua.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Aaron Michael Morrelle on January 9, 2013.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 3-5:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the time of the service at the Church on Monday.
Services will be held at Red Haw United Methodist Church on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11:00 am with the Revs. Shawn Green and Layton Broome officiating.  A private burial will be held.
