WOOSTER – Lavina E. Funk, Wooster, passed away December 31, 2013, at home with her husband and family by her side.
She was born in Plain Township, the daughter of Charles and Fay Budd Hutchison.
She married Paul T. Funk on April 4, 1953. He survives.
She worked for Buehler’s Grocery Store for 10 years; followed by 32 years atHawkins Market.
Lavina was a devoted wife, mother and best friend. She enjoyed reading, music,crafts, gardening, boating, and birds. She had a large collection of ceramic birds.After retirement she also enjoyed spending winters at her son’s home in Florida.
Surviving in addition to her loving husband, are children Paul Funk, Jr. of Florida,Greg (Nancy) Funk of Wooster, and sister LaDonna Cornell of California.
Lavina was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Charles Hutchison, Jr.,Forest Hutchison, Glenn Hutchison, and sisters; Pauline Hutchison, VirginiaBaughman, and Vida Leininger.
