WOOSTER – Donna June MARTIN, 83, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Glendora Health Care Center.
She was born June 3, 1930 in Smithville, the daughter of Charles and Zella Ferer Hartzler. She married Harry Martin on June 28, 1948. He preceded her in death in 1984.
She had worked as a cashier at Buehler Foods in Orrville and previously at Bishop’s Drive In and Sparkle Market in Wooster. She loved sewing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Ronald D. (Teresa) Martin of Wooster, Richard Martin of Lakeville and Wendy (Alvin) Weirick of Wooster; grandchildren, William Martin, Teresa Farley, James Martin, Charles Martin, Michael Martin, Alyssa Martin, Wesley Weirick and Nathan Weirick; 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; a brother, Warren Ross Ike Hartzler of Smithville and a sister, Geneva Hutchison of Reedsburg.
In addition to her husband, Donna was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Mike, Arlo and Joe Hartzler and sisters Ruth Bishop, Lucille Reed, Vivian Frecka, Mildred Ports and Rhea Hoover.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Monday, January 6, 2013 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Arnie Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
