WOOSTER “ Jeffrey L. Slusser, 71, of Wooster passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 following a sudden illness.
He was born November 19, 1942 in Anniston, Alabama to Robert and Emily (Watkins) Slusser.   He married Kathleen S. Scheck on April 2, 1966.   She survives.
He was a self-employed apartment manager and previously had taught school for 22 years as an industrial arts teacher.   Jeff had also coached football, basketball and track.   He loved all sports, especially basketball.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Scott (Jill) Slusser of Columbia, Tenn., Stephanie (Eric) Santos of Livermore, Calif., Suzanne (Dana Williams) Slusser of Valdesta, Georgia and Sam (Cindy) Slusser of Portage Lakes; grandchildren, Harrison, Ellanora, Sophia and Isabella Slusser, Grace and Emma Santos, Layne Blevens and Cade Dye and his beloved dog McKinley.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 5-7:00 p.m.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Brent Durham officiating.
