WOOSTER – Duane T AUKERMAN, 67, of Wooster, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 at his home.
He was born March 1, 1946 in Wooster, the son of Glenn T. and Lucile  Feiber Aukerman. He married Arline Peggy Leighty on June 20, 1964. She survives.
He retired as a captain from the Wooster City Fire Dept. after 25 years of service. Duane had also worked at Leighty Auto Electric. After retirement he worked for Wooster City Schools as a bus driver, mechanic and bus aide. He was a member of Ebenezer Lodge #33 F & AM.. He enjoyed hunting and motorcycle riding, spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren’s activities.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Jeff (Karen) Aukerman, Rod (Kim) Aukerman and Brenda (Brad) Fleming all of Wooster; grandchildren,Brett, Brittany, Alyssa,and Jessica Aukerman, Nathan (Aimee), Josh and Kaitlyn Aukerman, Jake, Garrett and Sammy Fleming; great-grandchild, Noah Aukerman; his siblings, Mary Lou Franks of Liberty, KY, Mike (Ruth) Aukerman of Wooster, Steve (Kathy) Aukerman of Tolland, CT, Karen (Lee) Fisher of Wooster and Marge (Jim) Lilley of Wooster.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday evening, February 7, 2014 from 6-9:00 p.m.
There will be no services.
