Together Again
WOOSTER – Gail SNYDER, 99, of Wooster, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 at Smithville Western Care Center.
She was born March 12, 1914 in Wayne County, the daughter of Ebright and Iva Tacy Faber Austen. She married C. Russell Snyder. He preceded her in death in 1985.
She was a homemaker and had worked for Freedlander’s Dept. Store. She was a member of the Wooster United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and painting.
Surviving are sons, Donald (Glenda) Snyder and Larry Snyder both of Wooster; grandchildren, Beth (Bryan Krebs) Snyder, Eric (Lisa) Snyder, Ashley Snyder, James Snyder and Jeffery Snyder; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, James (Janet) Snyder of Leesburg and a sister, Doris Whitemyer of Naples, FL.
In addition to her husband, Gail was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Ada Petralean, Treva Bruce, Cora Bruce, Nancy Shank and brothers, Emmett, Lloyd and Merle Austen.
Services will be held at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. David Wilcox officiating. Interment will follow in the Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster, OH. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
