WOOSTER – Dorothy Dottie Meyer passed away February 22, 2014 after a long period of declining health with her loving family at her side. She was born in Bangor, Maine August 23,1934 to Orrin and Elizabeth (Fellows) Berry. Dottie graduated from Bangor High School Class of 53.
She worked for New England Tele & Tele as a telephone operator. In January of 1956 she meet the love of her life, Joe Meyer an Air Force Sergeant from the local Air Force Base. They were married September 8, 1956 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bangor, Maine.
Surviving family members, her loving husband Joe, Daughter Julie (Tom) McCrobie, Son John, Granddaughter Samantha (Ryan) Boak, Grandson Tad McCrobie, and Great Granddaughters Camryn and Rowynn Boak all of Wooster. Sister Sandra (Robert) McKay of Florida/Maine. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Dottie was an Air Force Mom, a loving wife and friend. While living in Alaska she enjoyed snowmobiling & camping and was very active in the Susitna Girl Scouts ofAnchorage.   Following Joe ™s retirement from the Air Force, they returned to Wooster.   Dottie worked at Freedlander Dept. Store for 13 yrs.   In 1996, she retired from The College of Wooster as a switch-board operator.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister Marion Eugenia and her parents. She always had a sweet smile and will sadly be missed by all.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster, OH 44691. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.  
Friends may call Friday, February 28, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. The rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. at McIntire, Bradham and Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street,Wooster, OH 44691. Online expressions and guest book registry are available at www.mcintirebradhamsleek.com.
The family suggest in lieu of flowers, friends and family may make a donation to LifeCare Hospice of Wayne & Holmes Counties, 2525 Back Orrville Road, Wooster, OH 44691 or St. Mary School, PO Box 109, Wooster, Ohio 44691 in her memory.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Larry Stallings and his staff and LifeCare Hospice care givers for their outstanding care. Special thanks to those aids that went out of their way to make Dottie comfortable.
