WOOSTER – Catherine T. Gorman, 88, of Wooster, formerly of Millersburg, died Feb. 23 atSmithville- Western Care Center following a lengthy illness.
Catherine was one of the kindest and most gracious people many of her friends andfamily ever knew.
She was born December 3, 1925, in Camden, N.J., the daughter of William andCatherine (Carson) Hartman. She married the Rev. Mr. William J. Gorman onFebruary 4, 1956. He survives.
Catherine lived most of her life in Camden, NJ; and Millersburg. She was adevoted wife, mother and friend. The importance of her faith was exemplified
in how she treated people every day of her life. She was a longtime catechismteacher, primarily at St. Peter Catholic Church in Millersburg, where she taughtchildren of all ages and spent many years as a high school instructor and marriagepreparation counselor.
Catherine also was a quilter, a gardener, a reader, and a great friend to many. Sheloved to cook, and there was always room for one more chair at her dining table.The family’s Christmas parties in Millersburg are still remembered throughout thecommunity for their festivity.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Anne (Don) Cunningham of Elyria, and threesons, Thomas of Bowling Green, Robert (Kathy) of Wooster and Patrick (Denise)of Madison, Wisconsin. Also surviving are grandchildren Cassie and SusieCunningham; Ben, Anna and Sam Gorman; Joseph, Mary Grace and John Gorman,and Katie and Sarah Gorman; sisters Jane (Joseph) Kenney of Cherry Hill, NewJersey, and Anne (Patrick) Kennedy of Pennsauken, New Jersey.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Mary, and a brother, William.
Services will be Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception CatholicChurch,527 Beall Ave., Wooster.  Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the church one hour  prior to services.  
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home will be handling arrangements.
Catherine will be dearly missed by her family and friends who are glad she is freeat last.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster
