Joyce C. Chapman, 85, of Wooster died Sunday March 2, 2014 at Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born January 7, 1929 in Minerva to Thomas and Dorothy Danner Heath.   On July 20, 1952 she married Thomas œTom  S. Chapman.   He preceded her in death on October 30, 2003.
Joyce was a graduate of the College of Wooster and was a music teacher for both Triway and North Central Schools.   She gave private piano lessons for over 50 years.   She was a member of Central Christian Church, the Wooster Women ™s Guild, Order of the Eastern Star, MacDowell Club and Emblem Club.
Joyce is survived by her children Scott (Stacey) Chapman and Sarah (James) Slover both of Wooster, grandchildren Daria Chapman and Kevin Slover and a sister Norene Casale of Minerva.
Along with her husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Friday March 7, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Central Christian Church, 407 N. Market St., Wooster with Rev. Kevin Phipps officiating.   Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church.   Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date.
