WOOSTER – Rebecca S. Becky Weinman, 74, of Wooster passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born October 9, 1939 in Ashland, the daughter of Robert and Thelma Johnson Billiar. She married D. Dale Weinman on January 11, 1959. He survives.
She was a 1957 graduate of Wooster High School, was a homemaker and had also worked for the Board of Elections. Becky was a member of the Wayne Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon and Trustee and a member of the Joy Sunday school class. She had also served as the supervisor of the Home Economics Building at the Wayne Co. Fair for over 40 years.
Becky loved gardening, flowers, bird watching, puzzles cooking and Norwayne High School sporting events that her grandchildren participated in and enjoyed traveling.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Michael (Christina) Weinman of Wooster, Douglas (Lori) Weinman of Burbank and Timothy Weinman of Canton; her grandchildren, Zack, Nate, Trent, Logan and Kayla Weinman. Also surviving are a brother, Steve (Amy) Billiar of Columbus, and sister s Barb Frank and Kathy Jerisek both of Wooster and family friend, Rick Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Connie Degler.
Friends will be received on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 4-6:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wayne Presbyterian Church, 7152 Burbank Rd., Wooster with the Rev. Bob Meyer officiating.
