WOOSTER Vincenzo James D Intino passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. It was a peaceful day for a peaceful man to make his way to Heaven.
Jim was born April 18, 1931 to Pasquale and Elvira (Manente) D Intino in Akron, Ohio and had resided in Wooster since 1943. He had graduated from Wooster High School and had been employed at Roy Martin Ford, Floyd Dugan Buick and retired from the United Steel Fabricators in 1993.
Poppa Jim is survived by his children, Antonio and Victoria D Intino of Wooster, Ricardo and Valerie D Intino of Radford, VA, Angela and Hans Botzki of Euclid and James and Kim D intino of Wooster.
His grandchildren and partners: Nicole and Andy Mendenhall of West Salem, Eva and (Adam McVicker) D Intino of South Euclid, Antonio and (Emily McKinney) D Intino of Los Angeles, Cassie, Thomas and Katie D Intino of Radford, VA, Eric, Vincent, and Evan Botzki of Euclid and his beloved great-grand-daughter and fellow ice cream afficionado Ellie McKee Clarice D Intino of South Euclid.
Jim is also survived by his sisters, Ida Perrin and Adeline Killough and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster, OH 44691 with the Rev. Stephen Moran as the celebrant.Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family would suggest memorial contributions in Jim s name to the Viola Startzman Free Clinic, and Central American Medical Outreach.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
The family would also like to thank former President George H.W. Bush for the years of entertainment he provided Jim with his comedic use of the English Language.
