Rodney D. Kirkpatrick, 72, of Wooster passed away Saturday May 17, 2014 at his home.  
He was born March 16, 1942 in Wellington, Ohio the son of Clover and Mabel Travis Kirkpatrick.
Rodney worked as a truck driver for Keystone Freight Company, retiring in 2001.   He had previously worked for Rubbermaid.   He enjoyed NASCAR and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Kirkpatrick of Wooster. His mother of Ashland.   Children: Lisa ( Rick Perry) Stewart of Ashland, Tracey (Jim) Daugherty of Wooster, Erika (Tony) Lemmon of Wooster, Cindy (Robert) Graves of Ashland, and Jim Troyer of Columbia S.C.   18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Sisters: Beulah (Louis) Kennedy of Bailey Lakes, Phyllis McCullough of Ashland, Mary (Tom) Dilgard of Bailey Lakes, Barbara (Ron) Weitzel of Nova, Carol (Tom) Wilson of Polk and Paula (Kenny) Kime of Galion.   Brothers: Gary Kirkpatrick of Red Haw, Marvin (Wanda) Kirkpatrick of Ashland, Ralph (Debbie) Kirkpatrick of Ashland and Steven (Peggy) Kirkpatrick of Lafayette KY.   A special friend; Hugh Followay and many nieces and nephews.
Rodney was preceded in death by 2 sons: Rodney Kirkpatrick II and Richard Kirkpatrick and 2 brothers Tommy Kirkpatrick and Don Kirkpatrick and 2 infant twin siblings. And a great grandson: Kaden Smail.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday May 20, 2014 in the Dickey Cemetery in Ashland.   There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are under the direction of McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home.
