WOOSTER – Jacqueline Elaine (House) Cantey, œJackie  passed away on May 27, 2014 at the age 64.
Jackie was born November 26, 1949 in West Palm Beach, Florida to Dortheda Davis and William House, 1 of 6 children.   She spent most of her life in Wooster, Ohio where she attended public school and graduated from Wooster High School.
She pursued a career in public healthcare receiving her certificate from Ohio State branch.   Jackie has always possessed a passion for helping others, especially those that were not able to help themselves mentally or physically.   Working as a house mother for disabled/mentally challenged individuals was one of her favorite positions.  
She loved to travel visiting big cities like New Orleans and New York, but no matter where she went and whom she met her home and heart always returned to Wooster.
Of the many things that mattered most to Jackie was her family and friends.     It ™s believed that she never met a person that she didn ™t call a œfriend .
Jackie is survived by her only child, daughter Simone (House) McNitt, son-in-law Richard McNitt, of University Height, OH; grandchildren Bryantomas and Mckenzie.   She is also survived by her step-mother Sally House of Wooster, OH; sisters Diane Jones of Akron, OH; Deborah “Ann Brown of Hartford, CT; step-sisters, Rondretta Schaffer of Wooster, OH; Jeanette Kelley of Columbus, OH; brothers James Walker of Oakland, CA; Jeffery Walker of Alabama; Donald House of Wooster, OH; Step brothers Gregory Schaffer of Wooster, OH; William Schaffer of Texas.   She was a Loving aunt to Richard, Dameon, Dana and Jennifer.
Predeceased by Jimmy Cantey, they divorced before he passed away Jackie always loved him and his family will always remain as her family.
Devoted friend to all who knew her.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 31 from 11 a.m. “ 1 p.m. at New Life Assembly Church, 3555 Oak Hill Rd., Wooster.   Services will be held at 1 p.m. also at New Life Assembly with Rev. Lee Anderson officiating.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
