WOOSTER – Jack M BIDDLE, 72, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born April 17, 1942 in Harrisville, WV, the son of Robert M and Kathleen Smedley Biddle. He married Gwendolyn J. Hochstetler on November 6, 1981. She survives.
He had worked in law enforcement for over 30 years retiring in 1996. Jack had attended the Akron Road First Church of God, was a past member of the Masonic Lodge, the Fraternal Order of Police and the Buckeye Sheriffs Association. He liked golfing, fishing, music and was an avid reader.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children; Heather Lynne O’Toole Lyons of Canton and Robert Edward (Jennifer) Biddle of Shreve; a granddaughter, Chelsea Marie Lyons; brothers, Terry A. (Marilyn) Biddle of FL, Rodney (Robin) Biddle and a sister, Ginger (Art) Thompson both of Wooster, his mother-in-law, Betty Hochstetler and his faithful canine companions, Patches, Willie, Harley and Abby.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Eli Hochstetler.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday evening, July 11, 2014 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Kevin Phipps officiating.  Interment will follow in the Wooster Cemetery, Wooster
