Wooster “ Viola S. Bridgeman, 77, of Wooster, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at Wooster Community Hospital with her grandchildren Daniel and Malinda Brock by her side.
She was born June 8, 1937 in Hidalgo, KY. the daughter of Marie Piercy Blake.
Viola worked as a STNA at several area nursing homes and also did private home health care. She liked to crochet and quilt, gardening, playing bingo and going to Indian PowWows.
Surviving are children Wanda Sampson of Melbourn, Florida, Ronda Hester of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Martha Thiele of Lafayette, Indiana, Roger Bridgeman of Pleasant Hill, Ohio, James Bridgeman of Monticello, Kentucky and Kay Piercy of Troy, Ohio. She had 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster on Wednesday evening, July 16, 2014 from 6-8 pm.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 11:00 am. With the Rev. Kevin Phipps officiating. Interment will follow in East Union Cemetery.
Those who wish may make contributions to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
