WOOSTER – Margaret Louise COX, 90, of Wooster, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the home of her daughter.
She was born December 8, 1923 in Wooster, the daughter of Merle and Mary Rutter Alexander. She married George Cox on June 7, 1949. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2005.
She was a 1941 graduate of Shreve High School and had attended the Wooster Business College. She held a civil service position at Wright Field in Dayton until her enlistment in the US Naval Reserves (WAVES) in 1944. In 1946 she went to work in the law office of Taggart, Cox and Moore and later worked for the Wayne Co. Municipal Court (Judge Howard King). After raising her three children, she worked for the Wayne Co. Clerk of Courts for 20 years until her retirement in 1993.
Surviving are her children, Jody (Bob) Gibbs of Lakeville, Jackie (Randy) Middleton of Smithville and David (Marion) Cox of Wooster; grandchildren, Adam (Amanda) Gibbs, Amy Gibbs (Will Pawlikowski), Andrew (Nicole) Gibbs, Gabe (Megan) Middleton, Caleb (Rachel) Middleton, Lindsey Cox and Madison Cox; great-grandchildren, Kellyn, Edward, Gregory and Wyatt Middleton.
In addition to her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by  a brother William Alexander and a sister Virginia Huffman.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, 1 hour prior to the 12:00 Noon service on Saturday, August 2, 2014 with Rev. William Beery officiating. Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
