Margaret Marie Shreve Reiman died on August 22, 2014.   Her passionate commitment to her family, church, and community has left us all a better world.
Margaret S. Reiman was born June 4, 1924 in Shreve, the daughter of Hazel M. (Yenne) and Lawrence D. Shreve. She married Richard W. Reiman on September 8, 1946 in Wooster. He died February 10, 2000.
Margaret graduated from Wooster High School in 1942, from the College of Wooster in 1945 with biology and chemistry majors, and from the Ohio State University in 1947 with a Master of Science degree, majoring in Bacteriology. She was employed as a chemical research assistant at OARDC in 1945 and as a medical research associate by the Ohio State University Department of Medicine doing cancer research from 1945 to 1950. Her research resulted in two nationally recognized publications.
 After marriage they resided in Columbus and Dayton, returning to Wooster in 1951 as Dr. Reiman began his practice of family medicine.
Margaret was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, active in Women ™s Circles and served on Church Council, the Youth Committee and Prayer Chain.
She was active in community organizations including Wooster Community Hospital Auxiliary (Charter and Life member), Wooster Women ™s Guild service organization (Charter Member and President), and Wayne County Historical Society (Life Member).  She was a Canteen Volunteer for the American Red Cross Wayne County Chapter and Cub Scout Den Mother.  She served on the Board of Directors of United Way, Hospice and American Association of University Women.
Margaret received the Wooster Jaycee Outstanding Citizen Award in 1982 and the Wooster City Recreation Department Women of Achievement Award in 2000.
She was active for 75 years in Girl Scouting. She served on the Heritage Trails Council Board of Directors, was a Council trainer for 32 years, troop leader for 42 years.  She served on the Heritage Trails Council Board of Directors, was a Council trainer for 32 years, and a troop leader for 42 years retiring in 2013. She served as both a Council and National delegate. She received Girl Scouts ™ highest honor, the Thanks Badge in 1984 and Heritage Trails Council Heritage Award in 1997.
Surviving  are her sons Roger W. (Gala) of Chandler Arizona, Dr. Paul R. (Angie) Reiman of Temecula, California, Mark A. (Adele) Reiman of N. Canton, and daughter Lisa A. (Ian) Christie of Wooster. Her grandchildren are Tyler Reiman, Trent Reiman, Maria Reiman, Bryan Crouse, Neely Jimenez, Sean Christie, and Heather Christie. She has three great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and their families.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother Marvin Shreve in 1952.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church 301 N. Market St. Wooster, Ohio 44691 with Pastor Anne Paynter officiating. Friends will be received following the service. Interment will be at Wooster Cemetery.  
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Zion Lutheran Church, Hospice and Palliative Care of greater Wayne County, Girl Scouts of Ohio ™s heartland council for the benefit of Wooster Girl Scouts.
