WOOSTER – Linda Lou SMITH, 71, of Wooster, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Glendora Health Care Center.
She was born June 2, 1943 in Lodi, the daughter of John David and Anna Mae Goodman Sampsel.   She married Terry Smith on November 16, 1984.   He survives.
She retired from Rexroth and had previously worked at Astro-Metallurgical.   She was a member of the Joy Baptist Church in Orrville.   Linda was an avid euchre player and loved her grandchildren.   She was a great mom, friend and an awesome grandma who loved life.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children: Robert (Tracey) Jaynor of Shreve, Patricia (Mike) Curtis of Wooster, Brenda Wilfong of Ashland, Desiree (Rick Smith) Lutsch of Wooster, Jon (Missy) Jaynor of Ashland,   and Ron (Tracie Smith) Jaynor of Wooster; step-children, Pam Smith and Brian Smith; 17 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and her siblings, Beverly Bence of Mansfield, Bonnie Sampsel of Wooster, Johnna Mahlke of Jeromesville and David Sampsel of Colorado Springs.   Also surviving is her dog, Sammy.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter and a sister, Jean Tingley.
Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the 6:00 p.m. service on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor Doug Wilcox officiating.
