WOOSTER “ Roger L. Roman, 68, of Wooster passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Akron City Hospital.
He was born October 9, 1946 in Coshocton, The son of Louis and Fern Sampsel Roman.   He married Bonita œBonnie  Keltz on November 27, 1976.   She survives.
Roger was a 1965 graduate of Hillsdale High School and retired as an engineer for Windstream in Elyria.
He was a member of the Jeromesville American Legion, a member of AMVETS in Hayesville and a member of the Gold Prospectors of America.   He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and gold prospecting.
Roger proudly served his country with the US Army during the Vietnam War earning the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Stars and the Army Commendation Medal.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Tad Roman of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Leanna (Mike) Duncan of Florida, Diana (Cody) Winchell of Wooster, Roger, Jr. (Valerie) Roman of Medina and Andrea Roman of Wooster; grandchildren, Connor Roman, Kiley Roman, Sarah Duncan, Tye Duncan, Brenden Holiday, Kelsey Holiday and Zachary Holiday and a sister, Melinda (Larry) Strang of Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Susan Fisher.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Moran officiating.   Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman at 2:00 p.m.

Service
Funeral Services will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Moran officiating.   Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman at 2:00 p.m.

Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 6-8:00 p.m.
