WOOSTER – Esther C. ZUERCHER, 91, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, October 22,2014at Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born July 4, 1923 in Mt. Pleasant, Ohio, the daughter of Frank L. and Pauline PattersonCleaver. She married Lawrence Zuercher. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2002.
She was a teacher and a homemaker. Esther was a member of the First Presbyterian Church anda member of the Wayne Co. Retired Teachers Association.
Surviving are her children, Eric Zuercher of Wooster, Olin Zuercher of Elkhart, Indiana andEileen Rieman of Ottawa, Ohio, a granddaughter, Joy Nichole Rieman and a brother, JohnCleaver ofMt. Pleasant.
In addition to her husband, Esther was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Oliver Cleaverand a sister Catherine Cleaver Hunter.
Friends will be received one hour prior to a 2:00 p.m. Celebration of Life service on Saturday,November 1, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church, 621 College A venue, Wooster with the Rev.David Rice officiating.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
